We found that after reading, analyzing and appraising our articles that there was a correlation between socioeconomic status and post-partum depression. I felt that my assumptions going into this was that there would be a correlation between socioeconomic status and post-parturition depression. I felt that either side of the socioeconomic ladder could face PPD. I did believe that a lower socioeconomic status would lead to a greater risk of developing PPD. I feel that mothers with a lower socioeconomic status have less access to proper resources. This lack in resources can make it hard to find the support needed. My opinions seemed to match what we found in our research articles. My team members and I seemed to come to the same conclusions and agree that low socioeconomic causes greater risk for PPD. So far, we have still remained free from challenges as a team. We figured out how to work well together and get out work for this project done in an effective manner. I am happy with the team I am working with.
