I think that doing things online always has upsides and downsides. In today’s world of technology, everyone thinks that doing things online is the way to go. Personally, I think that using online platforms is helpful in the classroom. My first impressions of ePortfolio were that it is going to take some getting used to, and may be difficult to navigate. I don’t think that I am going to really like using ePortfolio for this class, because it is just one more thing to do. I know that may sound “lazy”, but as a first year college student it is already hard enough to complete all my work with my best effort and adding this website seems like it is going to be a lot. I hope I am wrong about my assumptions because I do think that it is a cool way to do assignments. I think that ePortfolio does have more to offer than pen and paper, such as easy access, neatness and creativeness.
I so appreciate your honest response. I think it’s a good thing to remain skeptical in this increasingly tech-driven world. Sometimes, at least in my opinion, “going digital” isn’t the best option.
